OUR CAR
Our car was originally built in the workshops of the German competition driver Ruben Zeltner, who won two German rally titles with it in 2014 and 2015. For the 2016 season, the car was purchased by us for the needs of Václav Pech. However, many components have been replaced, as the Czech national rules of the Porsche GT class allow a greater range of modifications compared to the default R-GT rules. A new roll cage, custom-designed by Custom Cages, was installed in the car, Sachs shock absorbers were replaced by Reiger shock absorbers, and carbon doors, bumpers and bonnet appeared on the car. The headlights have also been replaced by a lighter and cheaper counterpart, as the car is equipped with a light ramp for night use.
In the 2016 season, Václav Pech took the overall 5th place in the national championship. The main weakness of the car compared to today's conventional rally specials is the rear-wheel drive, which reduces the traction of the car, especially in poor weather conditions and on gravel sections. In 2017, Václav Pech switched to our Ford Fiesta R5 and Porsche was piloted by Jiří Jirovec. Porsche was then sold to its new owner in the end of 2019.
